2. The Father

Abu Talib, his family and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) were waiting to receive her and her newly born child. The first face Imam Ali (as) would see would be the smiling face of the Holy Prophet (SAW).
Abu Talib was a man of high morals and compassion. He was the leader of Bani Hashim and a believer in Abrahamic monotheism before the advent of Islam. He is a staunch supporter of the Holy Prophet (SAW), having raised him from childhood just as the Holy Prophet (SAW) will in turn adopt Ali Ibn Abi Talib (as).
